With the new year just hours away, there is no shortage of end of the year lists and favorites popping up all over the web. So obviously I had to get in on the action! Here are a few of my highlights from 2014!
Divergent Premiere in Los Angeles: March
In March I had the opportunity to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Divergent as a member of the press, representing one of my previous blogs. I was able to meet a few of the cast members (for the second time!) at a screening the night before the premiere as well. Having Shailene Woodley remember you from the night before was kind of crazy (cool). It was a total whirlwind, but it was definitely a highlight for sure!

Maui Trip: April
Just 3 weeks after returning from Los Angeles, my family was blessed to be able to spend a week in Maui. While we did get some sightseeing in, it wasn’t just a family vacation. My dad’s youngest sister and his mom live on the island and my grandma is in her 90s with declining health so it was a chance for us to see her all together. Maui is a gorgeous place, but MAN was it humid!

Bridesmaid Adventures: June
In June, I had the incredible pleasure of being a bridesmaid in the wedding of my college suitemate, Lauren. She got married in Pilot Mountain, NC and although it was hot, it was a gorgeous day!
Girl’s Weekend in Asheville: July
In July, I drove up to Asheville to spend the weekend with two of my very best friends from college. Asheville is gorgeous and full of character and it’s definitely one of my favorite cities on the East Coast. We ate at some fantastic restaurants, tried our hands at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, and visited a dueling pianos bar.

Los Angeles Trip: August
I’m so happy that I was able to visit Los Angeles twice this year. It’s one of my favorite cities! I blogged about my trip here, but I’ll share a few pictures. As dorky as it sounds, it really felt so amazing to have been able to travel through the city and navigate myself around by myself. One of those, “wow, I really am an adult” moments.

|Drove out to see my cousins!|
In September, my cousin John got married in Virginia and a bunch of my family gathered together to drive up for the occasion! It’d been a few years since we had been up to visit them in Virginia so that alone was fun. The trip was a great chance to reconnect a bit with my cousins, who I only get to see in one group twice a year (although these are just five of the 15 grandchildren, ha).
2014 was a great year and here’s to many more great memories in 2015! What were some of your favorite memories from 2014?
