Welcome to April! I was kind of a slacker and didn’t get this post up by the first Friday of the month, as I usually try to do. In my defense, I was on Spring Break from work so there were several things that fell to the wayside in favor of more sleep. But let’s jump right in and look at what I hope to do in April!
Last month, my goals were to sponsor 2-3 blogs, declutter my living space, and work on my Messy Milestones planner. Overall, I did pretty well here. The decluttering is an ongoing process, but I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As far as my planner goes, I’ve been doing a lot of testing and using it in my own daily work life to make sure it is going to be functional. There’s still a lot of spreads I need to edit and create, but I’m not in a huge rush at the moment.
Looking forward to April, one of my goals is to do a better job at brainstorming content and post topics ahead of time. More often than not, I tend to write my blog posts as the inspiration hits no matter how hard I try to stick to a posting schedule. At the beginning of the year, I had an editorial calendar in place and it worked well for January but then I sort of fell off the wagon. May is just around the corner and it’s one of the busiest months for me as a teacher so I definitely need to get back into a system! Another goal is to get back into a groove with reading. I hit sort of a slump in March and I think I only read two book, which is nothing for me. I’m still on track for my Goodreads 2016 Reading Challenge, but I’m definitely needing to get into reading regularly. For me to not be reading something is a very strange feeling.
I can’t forget about my seasonal life lists! I think I checked off everything on my March life list, which was fun! Those Lucky Charms treats were amazing. Here’s what I’ve got on tap for April!
