It’s another week and another Grateful Heart check-in with Ember Grey and her weekly linkup! I’m coming on the tail end of the linkup but the great thing is that the linkup is open all week so add your link when you can!
Thrift Shop // Nope, not grateful for Macklemore (although I am a fan of that song), but I am grateful for the Women’s Conference at The Summit Church in Raleigh this weekend that had the thrift shop theme. There were three amazing speakers at the conference, Sara Hagerty (author of Every Bitter Thing is Sweet), Jada Edwards, and Cindy Peterson (on staff with Summit). A great way to slow down a bit after the crazy that was my week last week.
Grandmas // Who isn’t grateful for Grandmas?! Mine turned 89 last Friday and on Saturday, a bunch of us got together at the rehab facility that she’s in to celebrate! My mom’s mother is always a hoot and is super adorable when taking pictures as you can see.

Opportunities // I’ve been reflecting a lot this week on the opportunities that I was very fortunate to have during my time as a fansite and entertainment blogger. Particularly because Insurgent is hitting theaters tomorrow and I spent three years blogging about the Divergent series. This time last year, I was mingling with Shailene Woodley at a charity screening and standing about two feet from Theo James (who is every bit as attractive in person as he is on screen) at the world premiere in Los Angeles. While I may have stepped away from all of that, I am so grateful to have the amazing memories of being flown to Chicago to tour the Divergent set and interview the cast as well as covering the premiere with the press. Something to share with the grandkids, that’s for sure!
