Reading // Crazy Love by Francis Chan. I’m just about finished with this book that I have been studying along with the ladies of my small group. I definitely recommend it! Since I am leaving for a short vacation tomorrow, I will be bringing Ghost Boy by Martin Pistorius and Blackbird by Anna Carey. Ghost Boy I own in paperback and I have Blackbird on my iPad!
Anticipating // As I mentioned above, I am heading to Michigan (for the first time) tomorrow! I will be spending a long weekend with my dear friend Sarah, who lives in Detroit with her husband and sweet boy, Elijah. I haven’t seen Sarah since November 2013, when she was still pregnant! I’m so ready to see her, squeeze Eli’s sweet self, and explore a new city! Plus I get to mark not just one state, but two, off my list of states visited! I’m actually flying home out of the airport in Toledo, Ohio and I’ve never been to Ohio outside of a quick layover in Cleveland last year. But we all know layovers don’t count!
Listening // I’ve been listening to Needtobreathe’s Rivers in the Wastelands album for about two months straight now. It’s just so dang good! I’ve also been loving Ben Rector’s The Walking in Between album as well. I completely blame the Tour de Compadres concert that I went to back in May for my birthday. I mean, a concert with Needtobreathe, Ben Rector, AND Drew Holcomb?! So amazing.
Watching // The Graceful Life. I mentioned in a post earlier in the week that I have been kind of obsessed with vlogging channels lately and one of my favorites is The Graceful Life. I have been following Rachel for awhile now on her beauty channel Glow of Grace, and I was overjoyed when she and her husband launched a daily vlog channel. They are a super sweet, Christian family so go check them out!
Missing // Fall weather/clothing! You guys. Seriously. We’ve only been officially in summer for a couple of days and I’m already so done with it. Here in Charlotte, we have had like 13 or 14 straight days above 90 degrees and I think like 8 or 9 of those were 95 degrees and above. IN A ROW. I’ve never been a huge fan of summer and stuff like this is why. I miss my crisp, Fall days being all cozy in flannel shirts, skinny jeans, and boots!
