Celebrating // So much! My birthday is next week, Mother’s Day is this weekend, and I’m also celebrating (and rejoicing) over there being just over a month left until Summer break!
Reading // Let’s All Be Brave by Annie F. Downs! I’ve been so into the Christian living genre in the past few months, especially from female authors. Annie’s writing makes you feel as though you are sitting down with her over coffee, which I love. I also just got Wild + Free in the mail yesterday, so I can’t wait to jump into that next!
Pondering // I’m currently pondering how on Earth there is only about a month left in the school year! Don’t get me wrong, I am super pumped about being able to sleep in and get some much-needed rest, but it’s shocking at how quickly this year flew by. I’ve already been a teacher for three years and in the Fall I won’t be considered a “Beginning Teacher” anymore!
Sipping // Water! (Okay, that’s like the lamest answer in the world, I know). But I had gotten seriously out of the habit of drinking enough water and with summer weather starting to rear its ugly head in this area, I desperately need the hydration. I’ve noticed in the past that when I track my water intake in my Erin Condren planner, I tend to do a much better job of drinking more water so I’ve gotten back to that!
Going // Crazy? Have I mentioned that it’s the last month of school? But I am actually going to two places this month. First up, I will be heading to the country, also known as Caswell County, NC for the homecoming at the little church where my grandmother is buried. Apparently they do a thing each year at their homecoming when they acknowledge and pay respects to those that have passed in the previous year and that means they’ll be honoring my grandmother. My aunts and uncles are coming together to attend and we’re helping with the food so it should be a good time. Then, the next week I am heading to Greenville, SC for the first time with my best friend over Memorial Day weekend. I’ve heard great things about the city so I’m excited to explore!
