It’s the last few days of 2014 so the year-end lists are everywhere you look nowadays. I thought I’d join in on the action and share my favorite books that I read this year.
I’ve been a lifelong reader and life just doesn’t seem right unless I’m in the midst of a new read on my Kindle. I tend to stick primarily to the young adult and new adult genres but I have been known to branch out every so often.
Here are five of my favorite reads of 2014!
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
I was so sad for this fantastic trilogy to come to an end but Tahereh Mafi eased the pain by writing an ending that was exactly what I had hoped for! How often does that happen?! LOVE.
The One by Kiera Cass
Another series that ended on a high note for me! I absolutely adored this trilogy by Kiera Cass and I’m so pumped for the continuation The Heir which will be coming in May. So I guess it’s not much of a trilogy anymore…
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
This was such a delight to read! Jenny Han writes in such a realistic and relatable way and I highly recommend this book!
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins
At long last Isla hit the bookshelves! Stephanie Perkins is an absolute pro at writing fictional boys that are swoony and adorable and make you want to cry because they don’t exist in real life. Plus the fact that she lives in NC doesn’t hurt her awesome-ness either.
Forever With Me by Kristen Proby
Forever with Me is another conclusion to a fantastic series and this one was definitely bittersweet. The With Me in Seattle series is a rather lengthy one with eight installments and I have been there from book one. Forced to wait months between each new release, each book further solidified my love for the Montgomery and Williams families.
