One month down, eleven more to go! I hope 2016 is off to a great start for all of you! I’m back with my monthly goals and life list. But first, let’s take a look at how January went. Last month, my goals were to post 2-3x per week, start taking a weekly Sabbath, and beginning Project 52. I must say, I think I did pretty well! I implemented an editorial calendar at the end of 2015 and I have posted pretty regularly with 2-3x a week throughout January.
I also began to observe a weekly Sabbath as a day to rest, rejoice, and be completely rooted in life without the burden of a to-do list or work obligations. For me, I have been observing a Sabbath day on Saturday and that has been my day to just be. I don’t let myself wake up thinking, okay I need to get all of this done today. Instead, I do as much as I can on the other six days of the week so that I can truly go through the day free of self-imposed to-do lists or expectations. If it gets done, great. If not, that’s fine too.
Lastly, I have gotten off to a good start with Project 52, which is a scrapbooking “method” in which you document each week of the year. The Project Life app makes this super simple and the pages that I’ve created so far are so pretty that I can’t wait to get them printed for my 2016 album!
Now, on to February!
Alright, for my goals this month, I chose to focus on the areas of blogging, creative, and physical. This month for my blog, I have set the goal of sponsoring at least 2-3 blogs. Building a community is something that I’m always working on in “real life” but I need to start doing this in the blogging world as well!
Creatively, this goal is fairly easy but I want to order the first batch of my Project Life prints from their app this month. I use the Project Life app each week in a Project 52 format and I document each week with pictures and virtual Project Life journaling cards. I’ve got quite a few pages created already since we’re about a month into 2016 so I would love to start filling in my 2016 album!
Physically, I need to get back into walking/running! One of my resolutions was to run at least 2x weekly, and although that might have been a little advantageous, it’s been super cold and rainy here lately so I haven’t gone out yet.
February Life List:
If you’re not sure what a life list is, this is one of my favorite ways to embrace seasonal living! Each month I create a life list of ten ways that I want to mark time and celebrate the month. I don’t put too much pressure on myself to do all of them, but I usually am able to do a majority.
