Welcome to March! We’re on the downward slope towards Spring, and I am so ready for some (hopefully) drier weather. This has certainly been a wet Winter, which seems like such a waste since only one occasion actually produced any snow. Anywho, I am back with my monthly goals and life list for March!
Each month, I create goals for the month that may be personal, professional (work-related), or blogging related. I also create a monthly life list with various seasonal activities. For me, the heart behind living seasonally is all about finding joy in the small moments and documenting them to mark time. So often, I’d think back to a particular month or week and sort of struggle to even remember things that I did during that time. Whether it’s injecting some spring colors into my decor or trying Lucky Charms treats, I want to really live each day as it comes to me.
Last month, my goals were to sponsor 2-3 blogs, order my first batch of Project Life prints, and start running weekly. Let’s just say, I only managed to do one of those. February was not my finest month, clearly. Admittedly, running weekly may have been a little advantageous but I’m working on it, people! I hit sort of a blogging rut in February that I am slowly trying to dig my way out of so I unfortunately did not sponsor 2-3 blogs as I had hoped. So this goal is getting moved over to March since I really do want to get more plugged in with some of the amazing bloggers that are out there. The one thing I did do in February was order my first batch of prints via the Project Life app. I am documenting 2016 in a weekly Project 52 format with the help of Becky Higgins’ Project Life system and I absolutely love it! A post will be coming on this system at some point, I’m sure.
This month, as I mentioned above, I am moving February’s goal of sponsoring 2-3 blogs to March. Building up a community of like-minded blogger friends is something that I crave and I hope to make headway with that. A personal goal for this month would be to declutter my space, both living and working spaces. I had gotten into a good rhythm there for awhile, but I’ve had a busy month so there’s a little excess clutter that just HAS to go. I always know when it’s getting to a tipping point when even my mind starts to feel cluttered, as a result of my space.
Lastly, I embarked on something kind of exciting towards the end of January. Creating my very own planner! Planning is one of my passions and as a teacher, planning is essentially to my daily life. However, as pre-k teacher, I constantly found that there were no lesson planners on the market that really fit primary teachers. I am currently working on a simplistic, primary-age focused, printable Teacher Planner that I will likely sell on Teachers Pay Teachers once complete. If you’d be interesting in something like this, let me know!
Seasonal Life List
Is it sad that I’m probably most excited to make Lucky Charms treats this month? I feel like a kid again just thinking about it. March is also the month of my week long Spring Break at work, which I am more than ready for. We will also be remembering my late maternal grandmother, or Grandmommy as we called her, on March 13th for what would have been her 90th birthday.
