Slow Cooker Pumpkin Meatballs // Game Day Prep

Football season is a happy season here in the South. Here in Charlotte, our hometown team is the Carolina Panthers and we’ve had a pretty good season to say the least. Super Bowl 50, here we come! The energy and excitement here in North Carolina has been contagious throughout the season and so fun to be a part of! I thought it would be fun to share one of my favorite recipes that would be perfect for a crowd, especially for the big game! These meatballs are as easy as it gets and perfect for a game day spread!

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Meatballs

This recipe is one of the easiest that I’ve come across, thanks to a friend of my sister. We’ve made these meatballs for numerous parties and they have always been a hit. In fact, it can barely be called a recipe since you basically dump all of the ingredients into a crockpot, which is what makes it so great. I feel so sorry for the housewives that had to slave over meals before the slow cooker was invented.

The ingredients used for these meatballs may seem a bit out of the ordinary, but trust me, it’s amazing. You will want these at your next game day viewing party.

Here’s how to make them!

What You’ll Need:
2 bags frozen meatballs
1.5-2 jars Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter
2 bottles Trader Joe’s Steak Sauce

How You’ll Make It:
-Dump frozen meatballs into a slow cooker. Pour steak sauce over the meatballs, along with the pumpkin butter. Stir well.
-Cook on High for 2-3 hours.

Tip: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to add a hint of spice and to offset the slight sweetness from the Pumpkin Butter!
