This past Sunday, I went a little crazy on the shopping front. Not ridiculously so, but just more than my average shopping. After church, I hit up Michaels, Dollar Tree, Old Navy, and Books a Million. I just can’t resist a sale and Michael’s had a good one with some great coupons. So I thought I’d share what I picked up with you guys. I also had a decent sized Dollar Tree haul, but that was all classroom materials for my kiddos so I didn’t think you guys would care about pom poms and flash cards 🙂
Alright, so Michael’s had their paper cutters and trimmers all 25% off and I had been interesting in trying them out so I couldn’t resist! I got the corner rounder and a 1 inch circle punch. With all of the materials I print and laminate for my classroom, a circle punch could really come in handy. The corner rounder I’ll probably use for classroom material as well but maybe also for things in my Erin Condren Life Planner. Speaking of my life planner, I picked up some calendar stickers and some washi tape to use in mine. The gold polka dot tape is by Heidi Swapp and is so cute! And the pom-poms are for my kiddos to use in art center.
I also got this Travel Journal for only $3.99! It’s basically just a journal for documenting travel destinations as well as favorite spots and restaurants in those places. I don’t travel that much, but I am making a point to be extra diligent with the money that I put away and save each month in hopes that it will be a “travel fund” for me. I’m going to Detroit in June and possibly to Maine in August and with my current job as a teacher, I know that now is the prime time to explore and travel since I do get summers off!
Alright, so Old Navy’s isn’t that much of a “haul” since I only got one thing, but it’s so cute! It kind of goes along with my new travel journal, actually, since it reads “Haven’t Been Everywhere, But It’s On My List.” In store, this was about 20% off, but it’s still regular price online. But still reasonable!
Books a Million
How cute is this recipe binder by CR Watson?! I feel like I’ve been looking for a cute recipe organization system for so long and I have fallen in love with this one. I even picked up some refill cards as well.
On the inside cover of the binder are some handy cooking measurements and the book come with 40 recipe cards, 20 plastic sleeves, and tab dividers. How adorable are those dividers?! I can’t wait to start writing in some of my favorite recipes that I’ve tried plus preserving my mom’s recipes! I better work on my penmanship!
Alright, so I actually got this one on Tuesday for its release, but I’m super stoked about this new devotional from Shauna Niequist, Savor. As you saw on Wednesday, I loved her book Bread & Wine and I’m so excited to have this on my shelves as well!
