I’m heading off to the airport (aka my happy place) in a few hours but I thought I’d show you guys what I travel with! I haven’t checked a bag since airlines started charging for them, so I always pack my clothing in a carry-on. But what usually changes is how I carry the rest of my items! Normally if I am flying somewhere, I am going to be gone for at least four or five days, and if I’m unsure what clothing to pack, some items usually overflow into my second carry-on. This typically means I bring along a backpack. But for my Michigan trip today and my Austin trip in August, I wanted to try and find something to travel with a little more style!
This work tote from Target is everything. The lighting was iffy, but the gold accents on this baby are so gorgeous. Let’s take a look inside!
First up are my headphones, which I keep in the drawstring bag that they came in. I ordered these from Groupon about a year ago and I don’t recall the brand, but they are so handy for flights! They do a great job of blocking out most of the airplane noise, so I don’t have to jack the volume of my music or movie super loud!
Next up is my personalized Carry-All Clutch from Erin Condren! In here I have my cords, chargers, and backup battery pack. I ordered the battery cell when I still had my iPhone 5 and my battery life was pretty rough and this pack has enough power for several charges. I don’t need it as often, now that I have the iPhone 6, but it is definitely a travel essential!
I also have the book Ghost Boy by Martin Pistorius and my iPad Mini, which is looking super cute lately thanks to my new cover.
Then, I have my journals. The blue journal is clearly a travel journal and I picked this up at Michael’s a few months ago. I haven’t traveled anywhere with it yet, so I’m excited to document my adventures! The gold journal is just my normal, everyday journal. I’m still trying to get in the habit of writing on a regular basis!
And, last but not least, is my trusty wallet and a small pouch to store my gum and other snacks!
